
Mary Hatfield received 14 years of training in ballet, tap,
and jazz at January’s Academy of Dance in Charleston,
WV, where she also assisted classes in all three
disciplines. She has participated in the West Virginia
Dance Festival and has taken master classes in a variety of
areas. She had roles in
Nutcracker
productions by Ballet South and the Chicago Ballet. Mary is
a Yeager Scholar at Marshall University.

Alisha
Vare has studied various types of dance for the past 16
years, including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and
hip-hop. She has competed on the national level for over
four years with La Dance Magic, La Dance Force, and Access
Broadway and has placed in choreography, duet, trio, and
company numbers. She is a psychology major at Marshall
University.
ASSISTANTS

Since
age three, Paige Carlton has been studying and performing
dance and currently takes classical ballet, pointe, tap,
jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical. She began competitive dance in
New York at age five where she competed in regional
competitions with American Stardom, Eastern Performing Arts
Winner Showcase, Showbiz, and Dance USA. In 2002 she earned
a gold medal in the American Academy of Ballet performance
awards. Since her arrival in Huntington, Paige has
performed in Charleston Ballet productions of
The Nutcracker.
She is also an active member of the theater community; she
played Alice in
Alice in Wonderland
and also had roles in Huntington Outdoor Theater's
Annie Get Your Gun
and 5th Avenue Theater's
Annie,
Gypsy,
and
It's a Wonderful Life.
She continues to study with HDG and is in the apprentice
program with the Charleston Ballet.

Hilary
Cornell began dancing at age six and has studied classical
ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and modern. She has trained at
studios in the Huntington and Charleston area and has
attended the Mid Ohio Valley Ballet's Summer Intensive for
several years. She has performed in
Nutcracker
productions in Huntington including a performance as Clara
in 2002. She is a company member with the Charleston Ballet
where she has performed in productions of
The Nutcracker,
Sleeping Beauty,
Giselle,
African Images,
and
The Flappers.

Angela
Pino has studied dance for eight years, including ballet,
tap, jazz, and hip-hop. She also studies voice and is
active in the Huntington theater community, having had
roles in
Annie,
Annie Get Your Gun,
and
Les Miserables.
